Godly Wisdom

Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding. Find is an action word. How do we find wisdom? James 1:5 says to ask God for wisdom, and He will give it to you. When we ask God for wisdom, I don’t think we should just sit there and wait for it to fall into our lap. I think we must seek. I think we must pray. I think we must read and study His word. The Bible says that wisdom is more valuable than silver and gold. If that’s the case, it is extremely important in a believer’s life. Godly wisdom helps us prepare ourselves for eternity and it helps us trade our earthly values for biblical values. With Godly wisdom we gain understanding. We gain discernment. We see things from God’s perspective. Seek wisdom and apply it through understanding. Wisdom is a treasure!
