He is Faithful

God works in and through us to do His will. He has not left us alone. He helps us obey Him and gives us the power to do what He asks of us. As I was reading this statement stuck out to me – God is not working to make us happy, but to fulfill His purpose. Every day and every circumstance will not always be happy, but we serve a God who is bigger than all of that. We serve a God who will complete the good work He started in us. I wouldn’t be where I am today without God. He has really done a great work in my life and is continuing to grow me every day. If it wasn’t for Him, I would not be doing this blog. This is totally out of my comfort zone but it’s a thought that He gave me, and He made it into a reality. He has confirmed it many, many times and I am so thankful for that.

For a very, very long time I felt so far from God. I felt like I was stuck in a rut that I would never get out of. It was a very lonely season of my life. I can’t say that I was faithfully reading my Bible and praying during that time. It was hit and miss. I didn’t feel like God saw me or heard me. I had decided this was the way it would always be, but God had other plans. I am so thankful that He did. God started working on me and He changed me from the inside out. I said all of that to say…God is always working! Even when we don’t feel it. Even when we don’t see Him. Even when we don’t hear from Him. He’s there. He sees us. He knows how we feel. He knows what we need and when we need it. God is faithful! He didn’t save us to leave us where we are. He saved us to make us into what He created us to be.
