Good Friday
It’s Good Friday but what is so good about it. Jesus has been betrayed by one of His own and denied by another. He has been humiliated by the Roman soldiers. He has been stripped, mocked and spit on. A crown of throns placed on His head. Beaten beyond recognition and forced to carry His cross. His hands and feet nailed to that cross where He would give His life. His body was taken and laid in a tomb. A great stone rolled in front of it. I can’t imagine how His mother and disciples felt. What were they supposed to do now. Was this the end. They must have felt hopeless. It was not a good day but the story isn’t over. Sunday is coming! Hope is on the horizon! I’m so thankful that Jesus was willing to endure all of the heartache, humiliation and torture that he had to go through. I’m so thankful that He was willing to give His life for us. Without this terrible day we wouldn’t be celebrating Sunday. We wouldn’t have eternal life. Let’s celebrate with thankful hearts this Easter. Let’s remember the sacrifice that was made for us.
Happy Easter!!!
Good Friday wasn’t pretty. It really wasn’t good…at the time.
But Sunday was coming!!! Hallelujah!!
Thank you, Keri!!!
